We meet up regularly to welcome new players to the game, talk about poker, arrange home games and small tournaments, and drink beer.

London Poker Meetup has members from all walks of life, the only real unifying factor within the group being the love of poker.
Most of our members are relatively new to the game and those that aren't are always happy to share their knowledge with newcomers.
No-one in the group takes themselves too seriously and no-one thus far anyway has proved to be an axe-wielding psycho-billy, so it should be a fun night out and you're almost guaranteed to get home in one piece.
We have over 1000 members, and they are quite diverse in their poker experience, bankrolls and playing ability.

London Poker Meetup is a private members club run on a voluntary basis by poker players for poker players, and we attempt to fund the vast majority of our group purchases via with the major online poker rooms.
As the Organiser I'm fortunate enough to get bushwhacked by Meetup no less than twice every year, but our members don't pay ANYTHING to join the group or to have a game listed on our page.
London Poker Meetup is run on a strictly 'not-for-profit' basis and there have never been nor will there be any dues payable for membership.
How is the group funded?
The group is self funded by its members throughbuying playing cards, contributing part of their winnings or whatever, and signups on the.
Over the years this has enabled us to purchase a number of poker tables about twenty at last count over 10,000 custom-labelled poker chips, buttons, postillions, playing cards and timers, you name it, we probably have it.

We have a number of regular locations, some of them public, some of them top secret.

It's worth re-iterating from the get-go that the primary purpose of our club is a SOCIAL one - in other words the club exists to enable its members to meet people, arrange home games, and basically knock back a few frosty ones and jaw about the game.
