I was thinking the same thing lol It's news to me why people think AC is so unsafe.
I have been going there for just about every weekend for the past 20 years and I have never felt unsafe.
But then, I stay in casino hotels and gamble in the casinos only and not venture out anywhere into the city outside of boardwalk.
But who needs to wonder into the city anyway if you are there to gamble?
